Teen Advisory Board
What is the TAB?
TAB stands for Teen Advisory Board. The TAB is a group of people who are in grades 6-12 and who want to have a say in what the Library does for teens.
What happens at a meeting?
At the meetings, we come up with ideas for programs, select books to order and talk about what books to get rid of, decide what prizes should be given away during the summer reading program, and lot of other things all while munching on some snacks.
When does the TAB meet?
The TAB meets on Tuesdays at 7:00 p.m. The 2009 dates are August 18, October 6, November 17, and December 29.
Who can join?
Anyone who is grades 6-12 can join. Since you’re helping the library, attending a meeting also counts as community service for school.
How do I join?
If you are interested in joining the TAB, fill out a registration form and turn it in to any librarian, or just come to a meeting to see what it’s all about. The forms can be found in the teen area in the library (above the magazines) or you can download one right here.
