History of Eloise Program Video

WLND's video recording of our History of Eloise program is now available on YouTube! Jo Johnson and Marlene McGee, two local historians, share the real story surrounding the Eloise Hospital and grounds in this standing room only presentation held at the Westland Public Library. WLND's video includes historical images and a Q&A session following the presentation.

Caregiver Inspirations

On Wednesday, September 19 at 6:00 pm, please join us to welcome Ms. Cecelia Salamone as she presents information to those who are involved in the loving acts of caregiving. Caregiving is a journey and Ms. Salamone is here to assist with that process. Many topics will be covered and there will be time for questions and answers. Friends of the Library Book Sale

The Friends of the Library will be holding their September Book Sale this weekend! Drop by Meeting Rooms A & B at the library for great deals on gently used books, audiobooks, movies, and music. The Preview Sale, open to Friends only, will be Thursday, September 13 from 3-6 pm. If you are not yet a Friend of the Library, you are welcome to join at the door for just $5.

The September Book Sale will be open to the public:

  • Friday, September 14 from 10am-4pm
  • Saturday, September 15 from 10am-4pm
  • Sunday, September 16 from 12pm-3pm ($4 Bag Day)
